YASKAWA ASIA PACIFIC GROUP (ASEAN REGION)

Residing in Southeast Asia, Yaskawa Asia Pacific Group (ASEAN region), as a member of Yaskawa Electric Corporation (YEC) group, has been providing Yaskawa’s high-quality products and technologies to customers in the region. YAP group consists of five (5) companies, Yaskawa Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (YAP) as headquarters, Yaskawa Electric (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (YAPT), PT Yaskawa Electric Indonesia (YAPI), Yaskawa Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd (YAPV) and Yaskawa Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (YAPM).

In 1976, YEC established a representative office in Singapore. It was the first Yaskawa’s office in Southeast Asia. As the business grew, YEC decided to incorporate a sales office, known as Yaskawa Electric (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (YSP), in 1991 under the law and regulations of Singapore. YSP has been providing the technology to help manufacturers improve production reliability, and productivity through automated control of products and process.

YSP expanded the business into Thailand in 2004, followed by Indonesia in 2008, Malaysia in 2011 and Vietnam in 2014 as YSP’s subsidiaries.

In 2004, Yaskawa Engineering Asia Pacific Singapore (EAPS) was established and incorporated in Singapore as a joint venture company between Yaskawa Electric Engineering Corporation (YEEC) and YSP to provide customer with high quality engineering services for Yaskawa products.

In 2015, EAPS and YSP officially merged to become one company to better provide the best service to our customers.

In 2018, YSP officially rebrand as Yaskawa Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (YAP) to extend its regional coverage to become a leading supplier of three (3) main business areas - Motion Control products, Robotics and System Engineering.

Under Motion Control, there are AC and DC Servo Drives, AC Inverter Drives, Machine Controllers as well as PLCs. Presently, YAP group’s main operation includes sales, technical support, after-sale service.

Yaskawa’s course of action is driven by the company’s motto “Customer Satisfaction” and strongly believe this motto will create the winning market strategy for Yaskawa’s business in the region.
